Whether you require removal of obstructions to the microphone inlet, altering and cleaning of battery contacts or volume control and calibration checks, they will endeavor to ensure your hearing device is running smoothly and efficiently.

NOTICING HEARING LOSS

If you notice a deterioration in your hearing, it’s vital to see an audiologist at the earliest available date. If you require medical attention, your audiologist will refer you to an appropriate medical specialist. They will always strive to highlight all available solutions to you.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT DURING MY HEARING ASSESSMENT?

During a hearing assessment, an audiologist will measure your ability to hear different frequencies or pitch of tone. Your responses will be measured on what is known as an audiogram. They will also conducts a basic word recognition assessment to examine whether your ability to communicate is being affected by your hearing.

Admitting your hearing is deteriorating can be a difficult experience and many avoid broaching the topic for fear of embarrassment.
